Founded by a dedicated group of family members and friends, Sprout Love was created in memory of the vibrant spirit and magnetic energy of Maureen McCurren. 

Maureen was a yoga instructor at the Cancer Support Community. Through her journey and her in-depth understanding of the human spirit, she recognized the importance of the type of support offered at the Cancer Support Community and was dedicated to sustaining its mission.

Maureen often referred to herself as MommaSunflower. The Summer of 2014, before her spirit soared to the heavens, she got a tattoo of a sunflower on her right arm. On the stem were the words written...Sprout Love.

Maureen lived with amazing courage and grace during her seven-year battle with breast cancer and was an inspiration to all that knew her. Maureen always wanted to "spread sunshine” through various acts of kindness and Sprout Love was created to honor her legacy.
